Our season ended at the beginning of December and we are currently looking for any tournaments in the southeast to play in the next few months. Playing in the same league for the past few years we tend to play the same people all the time. We are looking to play some new teams.
If anyone has information on these tournaments, or a good website to research flag football on, please let me know. Thanks

Contact
I love flag football and will play anytime I can, but dang if I don't miss the contact of regular football. The most frustrating thing is when you are in position to make the tackle but miss the flag. I never realized it would be easier to make a tackle than pull a little flag.
Also, it sucks when being in position is a penalty. For example, if you are right behind a guy and he catches the pass and turns into you, it is a penalty for obstructing the runner. If they are going to try and reduce contact, they should use basketball charging rules. If you are set, then it is charging on him. I know contact altogether cannot be avoided, but some things just have to be let go.
If anyone finds a tournament that allows some contact, please let me know. My team would love to play in it.

Welcome Flag Footballers
Flag football has grown in popularity over the past decade and you can find a league in about any town. After graduating from college I moved back home to work and found myself playing with my buddies from high school. This game is about the only way football players can continue competing in an organized way after high school (barring exceptional talent).
